The Centre for Separated Families

The Centre for Separated Families is a UK organisation that works with everyone affected by family separation to bring better outcomes for children. The Centre is a registered charity that works with government, business and other third sector organisations to promote gender aware policies around family separation.

 

Putting Children First: a handbook for separated parents

Putting Children First helps mothers and fathers unlock and resolve the conflict around contact with children that can arise during and after separation.

 

The European Network on Shared Parenthood

I am proud to act as the co ordinator for this new network which was formed in the Summer of 2009 in the Czech capital, Prague. There are currently representatives from eight European contries whose aim is to share good practice and promote shared parenthood.

 

Family Holiday Association

Over two million children live in families who cannot afford a day trip to the seaside far less a simple holiday. The FHA works to help disadvantaged families to get that much needed break away from home. As a member of the FHA's Family Policy & Programme Committee, I am delighted to recommend the new look website.

 

Karen Woodall

Karen is a family counsellor who has worked with vulnerable children and their families since 1991. She is currently the Director of the Centre for Separated Families and has recently been appointed as a Family Commissioner working to explore the big issues surrounding the extended family and the support it needs in the 21st century.
