A selection of my larger writing projects.
BBC Online
The BBC website had a major overhaul in 2010 and I was delighted to write the content for the new Separated Parents pages of the health section. It examines the impact of separation on parents including specific information for mums and dads, helping children to adjust to the changes that are happening around them and how to work together for the sake of children. Gary Bailey's Divorce for Dads
Published in September 2010, this book is written with the former Manchester United and England goalkeeper Gary Bailey, and is aimed at helping dads deal with family separation and make the right choices for their children. Published by Two Dogs, it looks at how to manage divorce and separation in ways that reduce conflict between parents and put the needs of children first. Read more on the microsite here
The Guide for Separated Parents:
putting your children first
Deacribed by the Fatherhood Institute as 'the best book on separation that we have ever read', I co-authored Putting Children First with my colleague and wife, Karen. The book helps parents to manage the changes that come as a result of family separation so that the impact on children is reduced and they are able to achieve their full potential. It is published by Piatkus through Little, Brown. Read more here
Dad.info
Dad.info is an exciting new web resource for dads. It covers everything from pregnancy to finance, the law to health. The site has been written by a number of leading experts in the field and I was delighted to be commissioned to write the section on family separation. Visit Dad.info here
Child Maintenance Options
As part of the Child Maintenance Commission, Options is a service that provides support and information to parents to help them to make effective maintenance
arrangements for their children. As part of that, it offers information via its website and in leaflets. You can find some of my writing, including the Emotional wellbeing leaflet, here
